Soccer has always been a huge part of my life. I started playing with my older brother when I could first walk. Once I was of age, I played competitively and I developed a love and passion for the game. Soccer was always something I could look forward to even in the toughest times. Working together with other girls who love the game is an awesome feeling, especially when you can achieve a common goal. Teams are extended families, win or lose.
My sophomore year I moved from Ohio (where I lived my entire life) to Arlington, Tennessee. I had only known the girls on my new high school soccer team for about two months of Fall practice. They voted me captain of the team. This title was an honor and one I carried with responsibility, which helped me grow as a player and leader. Throughout that season, I learned a different self. One that could lead and extend herself outside a comfort zone.
Scholastics has always been a huge part of my life. I truly love school and have been fortunate and blessed with the ability to focus and be successful in my academics. Since 7th grade, I have always maintained straight A’s and currently carry a 4.4+ grade point average (scale of 4.0). As a sophomore at a new school, I have taken all honor classes and maintained my academic standing, which I am very proud.
