Arista Ames '26 Recruiting Profile

Hi Coaches!

My name is Arista Ames, pronounced Uh-ris-tah. My family and friends call me Ris.

I was introduced to soccer at the age of 6 thru my local recreation league. Though I tried other sports, soccer is the sport that I love the most. I started playing goalie by chance, my first coach asked for a volunteer to do it and I ended up loving it. I decided my sixth grade year to really take soccer more seriously and play as much as I could. I currently play on a competitive club team as the goalie. I reached my goal of making the high school soccer team as back up goalie and forward, and next year will be trying for starting goalie.

Soccer has brought me some phenomenal friends and I am grateful. At this point in my life, I am focused on playing soccer in college. I am putting in the work and improving both academically and physically. My family and friends are a big motivational influence in my life. My parents and siblings especially continue to support me thru this journey called life.

I am a great candidate for your team because though I am a leader, I am a team player with a can do attitude.I love good competition and believe communication is necessary from the box and on the field. I am very vocal from the goalie box and strive to find quick solutions on the fly when needed to help my team succeed. I encourage my teammates when they lose their confidence and cheer them on when they are doing well.

Outside of soccer I really enjoy spending time with my cat Artemis Foul, and my three dogs Geo, Milli, and Ziggy. I also enjoy listening to music and gaming online with my friends.

I am currently still undecided what major I'd like to pursue in college. I am interested in micro-biology, engineering, and zoology.
