I would like to play in college because I love to play soccer and would like the opportunity to continue my love of the game while attending college. I am looking for a college that will challenge be to be the best player I can become. I was a successful multi-sport athlete before deciding this fall to concentrate on soccer full time. I used to participate in club swimming - where I was MVP as a U8, U10, and U12 of my team before discovering 3v3 soccer in the summer. I like the fast pace of 3v3 and being able to work on making my skills faster and better. I wish I would of discovered this at a younger age. Last year, I was able to coach a younger team and enjoyed sharing my passion for the game and drills with the girls to help make them better.
As a player, I like to work on my skills, I play hard and I have fun. I have been told that I am "cheeky" player, with a soft first touch, and I make my team better (by seeing the whole field of play, knowing where I am going with the ball before I have it, positive attitude, and passing to a teammate that has a better shot). As a freshman at Watkins Memorial, I led our team in points including 2GWG and 1 goal for a tie. Our team finished 2nd in our league behind Granville. My most memorable memories of my freshman year where 1) having the 1st goal against Granville(ranked #1 in D2 at the time) in 4 years and 2)when our coach wanted a senior to score in a game, I told her I would get her the ball and went back in the game with 10 minutes left and passed her the ball and she scored on Varsity for the first time!
I practice on my own at home, workout with a trainer once to twice a week at Total Athletic Development in Granville, Ohio, private soccer training once to twice a week with Scott Forster (Granville High School Division 2 Coach of the year) and attend team practices. I am dedicated to being the best player I can be for myself and for my team.
In addition, I maintain an A average in school, work seasonally at a Pumpkin farm, member of the Drug Free Club and German Club, and participate in 4-H with a market lamb.
