I started playing soccer at around eight years old, and I didn’t start to play competitively until I was twelve. Although playing soccer on a team with all my friends was fun, I had desires to progress with my abilities at a young age. My competitive personality pushes myself and my teammates to be a better player every game and every practice. Finding myself in Ohio’s state finals was the highlight of my freshman year at Springboro High School. That experience was incredible and I will work even harder for the rest of my high school career to get there again.
Playing soccer at different levels has made me realize that pushing yourself to become a better player and to not go through the motions outshines any professional help from trainers and coaches. Respecting coaches and other adults in my life is very important to me. The people in my life, including my parents, and my work rate has made me the player I am today. I am looking for a program that will fit me athletically and academically; I want to go to medical school eventually. My biggest setback was making the third team at Cincinnati United Premier. My work rate, skill improvement, and an amazing coach to answer my constant questioning has allowed me to be on the top ECNL team at Ohio Elite. I believe I have what it takes to perform at the college level.
