2022 Highlights
2022 SpotlightMy name is Lydia Case and I am a 2005 graduating in 2024. My first memory of a soccer ball at my feet occurred when I was three. I was born into a family of soccer players including both parents and my aunt who played at the collegiate level. I have been playing club soccer since I was in Kindergarten and at a young age I could read the field well and have been told I am coachable. Watching my aunt play in college sparked my interest in college soccer. I knew by the third grade I wanted to play at the college level while pursuing a higher education.
Recently, I have taken an interest in business after discussing some of my passions with my school counselor. Over the years, I have naturally taken on a leadership role on my high school and club teams. I can often be heard on the field assisting other players and keeping it positive. I am quick and aggressive to win the ball, am able to keep possession, and put teammates into position to score.
For 6 years I have been fortunate to participate in the ODP program. ODP has given me the opportunity to learn from other coaches around the region, meet new friends, receive feedback to improve my game and get additional touches on the ball. My hard work has paid off as I have been invited to the Inter-regional event in Florida this November.
The effort I put forth during practices, games, and additional training on my own has prepared me to be a college athlete. I am looking for a school that fits my academic interests while allowing me to actively participate in the game I love. I put the same amount of effort into my academics. I currently have a 3.8 GPA and am a school ambassador.
