Personal Statement
I'm a driven athlete with a strong desire to compete at the highest level in college soccer or beyond. I have been playing soccer since I was four years old and love every minute of it. Soccer is a sport that requires all of me physically and mentally. When competition gets tough and gets me backed into a corner, I find myself motivated to work hard and dig deep. I push myself to be the best player on the field.
My academic goal is to graduate from a prestigious university with an emphasis in nutrition, sports medicine, or personal training. Currently one of my favorite subjects is science, and I am personally motivated to maintain a healthy diet as an athlete. I believe it is extremely important to fuel my body properly so that I can compete to the best of my ability. I would love to combine these two passions into a future career.
I am self-motivated to be the best that I can be. I work hard on and off the field. I play my hardest during my games, and even when doing an extra set in training. I am not only competitive while I am playing, but I also set high standards for myself as an athlete. My goal is to get better every practice, every game, and every year. I simply want to get a little bit better everyday. I think I am very coachable - taking in every word my coaches say and trying to apply them to myself. I perform best under a coaching system that is challenging but also encouraging. There is always room to get better and I won't stop until I'm the best on the field.
