Alexa Ikejiani '22 Recruiting Profile

I started playing soccer when I was three years old, and started playing competitively at nine; since then it has been a major part of my life. I've played at some of the highest levels in my province over the years;  first the OPDL for 3yrs, UNION FC Showcase Teams, Richmond Hill SC League 1 Reserve Team, then finally earning an Athletic and Academic Scholarship with Saint Mary's University (SMU). This past summer I worked hard to play League 1 in Ontario for Prostars FC, and am currently developing as a Center Back Defender at SMU (2nd yr). I love my teammates, and current coach at SMU! I believe my strengths as a player are physicality & fearlessness when going into tackles, power and accuracy of my long balls, both technical & efficient on the ball, and my speed/pace of play.  I've been a hardworking student athlete both on & off the field for many years, and my goal in university is to become the best student, player, and person I can be!
