My name is Lacey McCarthy and I am a highly motivated and academically strong 16-year-old student-athlete from Bowmanville, Ontario, Canada, excelling as a Forward / Striker for FC Durham Academy. I have a deep passion for soccer and my goal is to contribute to a competitive college program. My primary athletic focus is soccer, and I am devoted to playing at the highest level possible in a challenging college environment.

Growing up in a very athletic family instilled in me a love for competition and a strong understanding of the dedication required to excel in sports. This early exposure led me to my deep passion for soccer, where I have found my greatest drive and ambition. Through soccer, I have learned the invaluable lessons of hard work, perseverance, and teamwork. 

Academically, I am an honor student in the academic program. I was my grade school Valedictorian and proudly received the Mayor's Award for Excellence in Education. I have maintained honor roll status throughout my high school semesters, demonstrating my commitment to my education.

In addition to my dedication to soccer, I also compete at a high level in hockey during the winter and participate in high school soccer, hockey, badminton, and basketball. These experiences have further developed my competitiveness and strategic thinking.

Furthermore, I have volunteered over 100 community hours, reflecting my appreciation for the opportunities I have been given and my desire to give back.
