Olivia Pomponio '18 Recruiting Profile

My goals are to use my work ethic to be the best I can in my academics and sport(soccer). I am a team player, relationship builder, energy generator, open-minded person, humerous, and competitive. As a freshman at St. John`s College High I made honor roll, ran cross country, track, and started at left back on the Varsity Soccer team that won city, regionals, and finished fourth in the Province.   I had excellent academic years grades 9 through 11 and started all games at left back or stopper. Last season my club team Paris FC went 28-7 scoring 106 goals while allowing only 31. I played in showcases in Indianapolis, New Jersey, and Chicago. These experiences have inspired me to pursue a goal to play soccer at the post secondary level while maintaining a high level of academic standing. I am currently interested in pre-dentistry, although I am not fully decided. I actively volunteer at my school and church as a eucharistic minister and reader for masses, and actively involved in the make it happen group (MIH).  My organizational skills, desire to succeed, and willingness to learn have helped me maintain excellent academic standing while juggling all these extra curricular activities.  I am looking forward to my junior year and striving to get better as a person and athlete.
