Miranda Singh-Biggs '25 Recruiting Profile

From the first time I kicked a ball at eight years old, I knew that soccer was my calling.  Every time I step onto the field, I enter my own world - a world of calm and focus, derived from the flow of the game.  To me, soccer is a sport like no other.

I have always been a hard-working student-athlete who strives to be the best in every aspect of life.  Academically, this is evident through my class ranking of 1 , as well as being the recipient of the Academic Award of Excellence in my freshman year of high-school.  On report cards, teachers regularly describe me as a diligent, well-spoken student with a thorough understanding of in-depth concepts.

I carry my "thorough understanding" onto the field, utilizing my soccer I.Q to routinely anticipate plays.  This is showcased in my highlight reels, where I predict the future location of the ball (and opposition movements) on multiple occasions, often resulting in scoring chances or goals.  In addition, I use my physical strength to deliver accurate passes, both in the air and on the ground.  I pride myself in being able to accurately deliver aerial balls during set-pieces and game-play.  Utilizing my strength and speed, I routinely regain possession and beat players 1v1.  Beyond soccer savvy, strength, speed and scoring, I have routinely demonstrated stamina that out-matches most players on the pitch.  This is further supported by my cross country accomplishments at the highest levels of competition.  All of this makes me a very versatile player, capable of playing any midfield or forward position, or even taking a turn at wing-back.

Across all environments, I consistently look to fulfill the leadership role.  In the classroom, I lead my peers through group assignments and help them understand course material on a regular basis.  On the field, I have been the Captain of my club soccer team, Erin Mills SC, since 2020. I was also the Captain of my high-school soccer team in my sophomore year.

I believe that through my leadership, diligence, work ethic and academic/athletic success, I possess the ability to be a key asset for my future University team.  I am excited, and thankful, for the opportunity to work with experienced coaches and represent my school on the field!
