Samantha Caputo '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Samantha Caputo, and I am a class of 2024 student-athlete from Guelph, Ontario, Canada, recently ranked the #39 Canadian prospect by FTF Soccer https://t.ly/Ymda3. I am currently playing on the Cambridge United OPDL(Ontario Player Development League) U17 Girls team. Since joining the OPDL U13 team when I was 11, I have consistently sought out challenges and played up an age group. 

I am a versatile, hard-working player player who can make an impact in multiple positions, but I favour attacking midfielder. As a midfielder, I take pride in my ability to read the field and distribute the ball to create scoring opportunities, as well as creatively contributing to the attack. I am always aware of the game around me and I am constantly thinking ahead. My dedication to improvement and my positive attitude allows me to learn from teammates and coaches. I strive to perform at my best every time and raise the level of the game around me. 

I am passionate about pursuing soccer at the highest levels possible and continuing to develop as a player. Recently, I have been invited to the Provincial Xcel Screening for the U17 team. I am seeking a school that offers both strong academics and a competitive soccer program that pushes me to elevate my game, while allowing me to maintain a healthy balance between my academics and athletics.
