Personal Statement

My name is Sophie Joly. I am the starting Center-Back for Coach Case Downey's Burlington Bayhawks U21 Provincial Elite Women's Soccer Team out of Burlington, Ontario, Canada. I just completed my Junior Year with a 4.0 (GPA) and will graduate in 2022. I won 2019 Rookie of the Year honors as a freshman and am now Captain both the Garth Webb Secondary School Sr. Women's Soccer and Sr. Women's Field Hockey Varsity Teams.

I am very dedicated and passionate about the game of soccer. I also realize that academics are equally important. I want to attend a school that offers a strong academic curriculum in Business and Finance. I am looking for a unique and fun college experience where academics and team success are ranked equally.

I know I will excel as a student-athlete and it is why I want to join your soccer family!
