I have been playing soccer since I was 10 years old, and at first it started as just something to do to occupy my time and because I wanted to try something new with my friends. Over the years soccer has become more than just a sport I play, it is something I can relate to in everyday life and would put myself on the line for my team 10 times out of 10. I play for more than the score, when I play soccer, I feel so carefree, this sport can always take my mind off of things. When I got into high school, freshmen year- I fully tore my ACL, MCL, and partially tore my meniscus. I had surgery in November 2015 and the rehab was intense and often I thought about giving up because I didn't think I'd be able to recover and come back the same. I am extremely thankful and glad that I didn't give up because I realize how much I have really come to love playing, and how hard I have worked to come back and get to where I was and in the athletic shape I was. My aspirations are to continue playing soccer and continuing my education somewhere in the medical field, and hopefully one day- play soccer at a professional level.
