Personal Statement

Hello,

My name is Finley Crabtree. I am a goalkeeper and a member of the high school class of 2022.

My happy place is competitive soccer. I have enjoyed learning about soccer in multiple settings, which has allowed me to learn from many coaches and improve my understanding of the game, skills and abilities. The variety of my experiences has allowed me to develop a variety of tools and I often receive compliments for my footwork and distribution. Putting together a series of actions that result in positive outcomes for my team brings me a lot of satisfaction. My confidence has increased over the last year and I feel like I am in a good place to become part of a college soccer program that works to be competitive in their league.

I am interested in pursuing a college education in science around one or more of the following focus areas: Environmental Science, Geology, Marine Science, and Astronomy. I am also looking for a well-rounded college experience that will allow me to explore a variety of topics and activities. Creative outlets are welcome in the form of food, arts and crafts.
