I feel I would be a good candidate for a college’s soccer team because of how passionate I am for the game of soccer. I have been playing since I was 3. I’ve always followed my dad around and he played college soccer at Kutztown University in Pennsylvania. He introduced me to the game and I’ve been in love since. I even play the same positions as he did, center-back and defensive midfielder. I have been playing club soccer since I was 8, and have always been on starting varsity in high school. I was the new kid freshman year of high school so I knew I had to prove myself. I put so much effort and passion into the sport, my coach ended up making me a captain after my first high school game freshman year. I’m now leaving my sophomore year and going into my junior year. I was injured a couple weeks into my freshman year, which pushed me to be 10x the player I was before, both mentally and physically. Being the youngest on the team and a captain, I had to prove myself. Academically, I’ve always strived to be put in the honors classes and to excel in them. I’m also a very involved student. I’m in mock trial, debate, and recycling club. I hope to be put into the National Honors Society this upcoming year. Now that I’m halfway through high school, I need to start making decisions as to what I want to do for this next stage of my life. I realized that I’m not ready to give up the sport I love. I haven’t lost my fire or my passion, it has only grown. Injuring myself freshman year showed me a life without soccer, and that’s a life I wouldn’t want to live. Soccer has been my whole entire life. It’s provided me with not just a hobby, but a passion. I’ve worked so hard, not just recovering from injuries, but just in general. I’ve never loved anything more and will never love anything more. I pray that you look into me more and hopefully see me as a prospect for your future team. Thank you, may this be a beautiful life for you!
