Hi! I’m Piper Loney, a rising junior at Germantown Academy in suburban Philadelphia, and I’m really excited about the start of my college selection process. I am a dual sport athlete and in a perfect world I would do both Soccer and Track in college. I would like to speak with coaches in both sports until I have to choose one sport over the other.
I have been playing soccer for as long as I can remember, being on the sideline in a stroller at my sister's games, and playing in the backyard with my twin brother. I play at my local club Penn Alliance Select Elite 09- coached by Chris Shaw who is also the Temple University Women's Soccer Head Coach.
Through soccer I discovered my speed which led me to try track. I didn’t start running track until the 7th grade, but I got hooked right away. Right now, my PRs are 12.41 in the 100m and 25.8 in the 200m. I’m proud of how far I’ve come, but I know I’ve got a lot more in me. I’m not on a club team yet, but I’m working on joining one because I want to keep getting better—faster, stronger, and smarter with how I race. I’m training hard and staying focused.
I am hoping to stay on the East Coast and I am considering schools with business programs and/or pre-law majors.
