There are thousands of girls who say they are looking to play soccer at the collegiate level. How many of those girls can also say they boast a 5'10" athletic frame, combined with a 1510 SAT and 4.64 GPA along with leadership abilities beyond their years? I'm going to assume not many.
You may not have heard of my team, Pennsylvania Alliance Select Blasters 01, as we are a new club (created in 2017), but we play a very high level of soccer and have competed against some of the best teams in the nation. I've played an instrumental role in our success, not only on the ball, but with my field IQ, my vocal presence and my positive attitude or "next play" mentality. With these "intangibles" I possess, I've not only been named captain of this team, but am commonly referred to as the "on-field coach."
At any college, I know I will not only be an asset on the field, with my skills, soccer acumen, my heart, passion, determination, hustle and leadership skills, I will also have a large positive impact on the culture and character of the team as well as the team's GPA.
As my assistant coach, Dwayne Klessel, wrote in his recommendation letter for me, "the ability to combine Size, Speed, Skill, and Leadership is indeed rare. To put it another way: You simply can’t have enough Aidan’s on your team. Any coach will know exactly what I am saying within minutes of meeting her and seeing her around her teammates. She makes them better and more confident. She has their back and looks out for them. She will quickly become indispensable on so many levels on and off the field."
