Emmelia Rucks '26 Recruiting Profile

My name is Emmelia and I am a 2026 keeper. I am a strong, athletic player and am confident with my foot skills because I was a field player for the majority of my youth soccer years. I have a clear vision of the field and am comfortable building the play up from the back with a possession based game. Being referred to as the “eleventh field player” on a recent team was a nice compliment to receive! Some of my positive traits are that I am highly coachable, level-headed, and calm under pressure. I was just awarded the Valley View High School Defensive Player of the Year 2023-24.

I am at the early stages of looking for a college or university that will be the right fit for me, but I am hoping to continue playing soccer at my highest level throughout college. Academically, I do well in my classes and at this time I am undecided on a future major. Outside of soccer I enjoy playing piano and am fairly good at drawing and painting. I also volunteer with food preparation and service at our local Greek Orthodox church's food festivals. I look forward to exploring opportunities to continue playing this sport I love in the years ahead!
