I would absolutely love to play soccer at the collegiate level. I've dreamed about it since I was a little girl, playing at age 5. Since then, I've strived to better myself as a player on the field and as a student in the classroom, by training and studying as much as possible. I have a fantastic work ethic and am willing to put in the amount of effort and hard work needed to help myself improve. Usually I play forward or outside mid, but I have played outside back on ODP - I am coachable and able to adapt to any position needed. I am a leader on and off of the soccer field - I was elected Class President of my graduating class at school, and I am Captain of both girl's teams for soccer and track. I believe this speaks volumes about my positivity and responsibility, as I am always cheering my teammates on and creating strong relationships through school and sports, while also implementing and following rules myself and making good choices that represent my team, school, and family. As a student athlete, it sometimes isn't easy to maintain high grades while also training excessively for sports, but I have managed to maintain my GPA and am strong academically. Throughout my schooling, I have been very independent of my parents, taking initiative to complete assignments, study, and do what needs to be done on my own. Along with being a student athlete, I am a working woman as well. I was a soccer referee for my local club for 4 years until I was 15, and I now I scoop ice cream 3-4 times a week at Bruster's Real Ice Cream - nothing too strenuous, but it sure does add to my already busy schedule. It's important to me that I play soccer in college, to first and foremost allow me to continue playing the sport I'm so passionate about but also to help my family financially if I can and gain a scholarship.
