In the classroom I have achieved many academic accomplishments. I have earned First Honors each marking period in my Freshman and Sophomore years. I received an Academic Achievement Letter in 2019. This letter recognized my outstanding academic performance during the 2018-2019 school year. I was the Student of the Month for Math in November of 2019 and was the Student of the Month for Science in December of 2018. For both of these accomplishments I was nominated for recognition by teachers as a result of positive effort and attitude that I displayed in classes. The nomination was then endorsed by the entire department. Lastly, I am a Member of National Honor Society. National Honor Society (NHS) is a national organization established to recognize high school students. More than just an honor roll, NHS serves to recognize those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, service, leadership, and character.
Outside of soccer I find time to stay involved and help my school and community. I have been a committee member for THON at my school as well as participated in THON at my high school in 2019 and 2020. THON helps fight childhood cancer by raising money for the kids. I have also been a Special Olympics Buddy in 2019 and 2020 at my high school. I joined PALS@MASH at my school. My role in this club is to spend time and attend activities with the Life Skill students at our high school. Some activities I have done with the students include tie-dying shirts, playing games, going bowling, and making gingerbread houses. I am also actively involved with my church. I do volunteer work like helping at the food bank and serving meals at an organization that feeds the homeless. I participate in Youth Group and attended a Youth Conference at Purdue University in 2019.
Soccer has played a large role in my life from an early age and I look to continue playing through my college career. I will continue to work hard to make myself a better player and help my team succeed. Academically I am looking to attain a degree in Early Childhood Education so I can become a teacher and make an impact on young students lives.
