Hello! Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Rachel Apsley, people who know me call me Rae or Rach. I am currently Senior at Northampton High School in Northampton PA.
I started playing soccer when I was 5 and according to my mother "took to it like a fish to water". Even at a young age I was asked to play up and always found myself playing with the boys. I believe that because I had to work harder on the soccer field I was able to hone in on two attributes that make me stand out as a player, one being my SPEED, the other being ONE HECK OF A LEFT KICK!!
I had the honor of being the only Freshmen on the girls Varsity Soccer team when I started my high school career . Although this has been a dream of mine for many years I know this is but a page in the chapter of my soccer journey.
I feel that in my heart I have what it takes to play at a college level and I am 100% willing to go that extra mile for my coach and for my team. As an athlete and a student I know that practice does not always make perfect and that you can always better your best.
In addition to soccer I play basketball, maintain a high GPA, and am a member of the Be the Change Volunteer Club.I do volunteer work at Nursing Homes, Food Banks and Elementary Schools.
In closing I would like to say that I know the next four years are going to go fast, I never want to look back and say that I was unprepared.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me a little better. I do hope that through this recruit I can continue to work towards my GOAL (no pun intended) of going to college, getting a great education, and playing the game I have loved since I was little.
