Jolena Wintermyer '23 Recruiting Profile

Playing soccer brings me joy like no other sport or hobby ever has and my dream is for it to not end with high school. Ever since I put on my cleats and walked onto the field for my first game ever Freshman year, I knew I wanted to play at the collegiate level. Playing in college is an opportunity that not everyone gets to have and it's an experience that only comes once in a lifetime, but if given the chance it would change my life forever in the best way possible.

I'm a team leader at heart and I strive to always encourage others around me and to have good sportsmanship. I'm coachable, dependable, and one of the most dedicated, hardworking recruits that you'll find. I have great control of the ball and though I am right foot dominant, I also have a decent left foot. I'm trained for every position on the field, and I have great endurance and strength. I've always been the type of person who pushes herself to new limits every day to put in the most effort she can, not only on the field but in life.

Academically, I have worked hard to maintain a high GPA by always pushing myself to do the best that I can because I know I'm capable of doing anything I put my mind to. Outside of school and sports, I've always spent a lot of time volunteering and giving back to others. 

I wish to attend college where I can be challenged academically and grow as a person on and off the field. I'm open to all opportunities and wish to find the right college match for me at the highest competition level I can. I hope as this next chapter of my life starts to unfold and begin, that I continue to strive to be a good role model and to do great things in this world that I never would have thought possible.
