Cristina Torres '18 Recruiting Profile

Since my childhood, I had the aspiration of excelling as an athlete to represent my country. During the last two years, I accomplished that dream of representing Puerto Rico internationally. My current goal is to now play soccer in college at a high level and continue to play pro. Soccer has been my passion since childhood. Although it has aided me to improved as an athlete, it also has shaped my personality and mentality. My character consists of a balance between academics, sports, and arts. In addition to playing soccer, I have maintained an excellent academic average and have mastered the violin. This makes me a good candidate for a team because I have the talent of soccer, the intelligence of a good student, and the patience that the violin provides. By combining the techniques that this three different fields require, I maintain a balance in my game. I am confident in my skills and always have a positive attitude. I distinguish myself from others because I accept those who want to help me become a better player and person. I feel secure knowing that I am surrounded by my family, friends, and teachers who support me, and I know that the dream of keep playing soccer during my future will become true.
