Playing soccer is one of my first ever memories. I know many people may say that, but for me it is true. My first real memory is of me kicking around a soccer ball on a recreational team, when I was three years old. I got into soccer at such an early age becasue of my mom. When my mom was younger she played soccer, and she even played one year in college. However my mom is not the reason I love soccer. I love soccer becase it is my safe place, an escape from reality. When I am on a team I always put two-hundred percent into every, game, practice, and even film session. I enjoy watching my team as a whole succeed because thats when I know I have succeeded. Even when I may feel defeated I still try to push my team to perform at the best of their abilities. I also put the same amount of effort as I do in soccer into my academics. I have learned from an early age that going to school and doing well is my job. It is my first priority. Although there are times when I may be challenged in both soccer and school, it is how I overcome these challenges that makes me, me.
