Personal Statement
When I first started playing soccer, I could have never imagined the impact it would have on my life. Since my very first practice, I have found not only passion but dedication for the game. Soccer started as a fun way to socialize with friends when I was younger. However, it has turned into much more over the years. I wake up everyday striving to improve myself technically, physically, and mentally in effort to be a better player and teammate. Over the course of my soccer journey, I have gained more self confidence, competitiveness, resiliency, and motivation which helps me be successful every time I step on to the pitch.
Although successes are rewarding, challenges allow me to grow. I have faced a few injuries over the course of my soccer career. However, I never let anything get in the way of what I am passionate for. Whenever I face challenges such as injuries, I remain focused on what my goals are and continue to educate myself about the game as much as possible. When obstacles get in my way, I like to overcome them and grow from them as much as possible.
My current goals for the rest of my high-school soccer career is to be a reliable, hardworking leader who can make a big impact on and off the field. Not only do I want to keep creating goal scoring opportunities for my team, I also want to help lead the team to big successes such as a state championship. Although soccer is a huge part of my life, my education is extremely important for a successful future. Academically, I want to continue to take high level classes, maintain straight A's and focus on excelling in my Medical Pathways and science courses to prepare for college.
In the future, I want to play soccer at a high collegiate level, while furthering my education in the medical field. I strive to play at a competitive level where I can display my technical abilities, strength, speed, as well as, my vision for plays. Overall, I am a committed player who has a strong love for the game. I am driven to do whatever it takes to stand out and play a major role on the field.
