As a freshman in high school I have already considered the medical pathway to be the best option to suit my personality. I currently obtain a 4.0 GPA, ranking 5th in my grade, and I am a member of the National Honors Society (NHS), math club, and Varsity Athletes Against Substance Abuse (VAASA). Academics come first and soccer second; I have always been interested in a medical pathway and I am involved in a career and technical center (CTC) at my High School that focuses on the health careers. Due to the opportunities provided to me by my CTC program I will be graduating from Chariho High School in 2022 as a certified nursing assistant (CNA) and an emergency medical technician (EMT). I would gladly further my medical education and earn an important position, my goal is to become a specialized surgeon. I am an organized student and persistent worker, because of my high expectations I set for myself I influence my peers to do the same. Not only am I a substantial addition to the classroom, but I can also positively impact those around me to persevere through challenges and reach their individual goal.
As a player on the soccer field I have always been driven by my desire to play the game I love. I bring a positive attitude to the field and put all my effort into practice in order to earn my position in a game. When in a game I am the play maker as the center attacking mid fielder and recognized for my accuracy and strength on free kicks, corners, and penalty kicks. Every team I am a part of I hold the same role, my teammates look up to me, which influences me to work even harder. As this essential midfielder position, I must bring a certain level of skill and determination to the field which I express consistently when I play. No matter the level of competition or the score board I give 100% until the end of the game. I have successfully lead teams through tremendous comebacks, playoffs, and tournaments. I bring such an inspiring work ethic that encourages all to step up their game; it takes a team to win. I have overcome many hardships as a Freshman on my High School team including a teammates death and it took a tremendous amount of effort as a group to overcome are emotions this season and end with multiple victories.
