Howdy! My name is Meghan Heins. While my soccer journey began in Massachusetts, I live in Austin, Texas playing for the Lonestar Soccer Club and Vandegrift High School. I am the youngest sibling of four and have been running around a soccer pitch since I was born. I am a confidant, strong willed, and determined young woman. As a Defender or Midfielder, I am typically asked to shut down an opposing teams best offensive player, control the ball in tight spaces, or attack the opponent from the back. I pride myself as being a good teammate and friend who leads by example and believes in good sportsmanship during competition.
The reason why I want to play soccer in college is not just because this sport has always been apart of my life, but I thrive on competition and want to win! It is not just a game for me, it is my whole life passion. Having been a part of many different teams, I've found the best performing teams are the ones that have a true team bond, a sisterhood so to speak. My love for this sport runs deep, as it has been my only sport throughout my life and it is my goal to play it at the highest competitive levels.
