I dream of playing collegiate soccer at a very strong academic school with a program that is positive but doesn’t have to be extremely successful. On the field, I am very selfless and strive to make it about the team and not just as an individual. My strength is my speed and agility. I was the only freshman to make the varsity team at Highland Park High School in Dallas, Texas under coach Stewart Brown. Highland Park has won the state title seven times, most recently in 2019. I am willing to play every position on the field (except for keeper), but my main positions are left midfield, left forward, & center midfield. I was born with a dominant right foot, so I have the ability to be ambidextrous in my feet. I worked hard to make my left foot as strong as my right and am comfortable with both crossing and shooting.
I’m always happy and have lots of friends on the field and off. It’s almost if I’ve never met a person I didn’t like. Intense competitors I’ve had in track have now turned out to be some of my closest friends. I ran track in middle school and set the 6th-grade record for our city with a time of 27.16 in the 200-meter dash. In school, I challenge myself with the most advanced classes. I have maintained an A average. I’ve been thinking about studying business in college because I’m very interested in entrepreneurship. Both my parents run their own businesses. I’m a very positive person and known to be very encouraging.

To whom it may concern,
Isabella Mendoza is a very talented player. She is very coachable and one of the most explosive players I have ever coached. When isolated going forward she has the ability to beat players in one v one situations. She is a very determined player that has creative ability to get out of tight spaces.
The good thing about Isabella is that she can play multiple positions. She is trained to play outside mid in a 4-4-2. Winger in a 4-3-3 and she has been playing attacking mid in a 4-2-3-1. A very well rounded player that gets in behind the defense, and creates plays on her own.
She also has lighting speed that is very dangerous. Although she started her career playing defender, it has helped her in thinking how defensive players read the game. I believe she has the ability to play div 1 in college, but needs the right coach to see her talents and her true ability.
I am looking forward to seeing her play in college and getting involved in her early college career. As a coach that has not only played in college, but represented our country in a World Cup. She truly reminds me of Marc Overmars from Holland. Any coach would be extremely pleased to have her on his/her roster.
