Saige Clary '26 Recruiting Profile

Hello, I'm Saige Clary, part of the graduating class of 2026. I currently play for the Albion Hurricanes FC in Houston, TX. Soccer is my genuine passion, and I dedicate myself daily to reach the highest level of play. I'm a coachable and committed team player who can contribute in various positions including Center Midfielder, Holding Midfielder, and Center Back.

Over the past few years, I've played as a Center Back and Holding Midfielder. However, last year, I've taken on the role of Center Midfielder, allowing me to contribute more to the offensive side, which I find enjoyable. When the team requires defensive support, I can seamlessly lend my skills as both a Center Back and Holding Midfielder whenever needed.

Coaches at Texas-sponsored colleges or universities, please take note:

I have the privilege of having a father who served in the United States Army. Being a native Texan, his service allows him to provide, through the Texas Hazlewood Act, 4 years (150 hours) of free tuition to any Texas state-funded college or university for his children. If I were given the opportunity to play at one of the Texas state schools, I would not need a scholarship due to this unique benefit.

Additionally, I run Varsity Track at Episcopal, my best event being the 800m with a PR of 2:29. I have great stamina and run a sub 6 minute mile. My PR on the Yo-Yo test is a 31 (20 meters) from August 2024.

While soccer is crucial to me, I also take pride in my academics. I'm currently maintaining a 4.14/4.0 GPA at the prestigious Episcopal High School in Houston, actively working toward my goal of becoming a veterinarian. Academic excellence is a key factor in achieving this ambition.

My ultimate aim is to play soccer at the college level, seeking a school where I can excel both athletically and academically. I am open to opportunities at schools of varying sizes, prioritizing those with competitive soccer programs and high academic standards. Although I have a preference for staying in my home state of Texas, I am open to exploring opportunities outside the state.
