I'm a winner and I want to win.” - LeBron James
I was first introduced to soccer when I was 4 days old and my parents rolled me to the pitch to see my older sister play. From that point on, every weekend and holiday was consumed with some sort of soccer activity. I am a natural athlete and have found success in volleyball and club track, but soccer has my heart. When I'm not training with my team, I enjoy training by myself, hanging with my friends or family, golfing, and baking. I'm nowhere near as good of a baker as I am a soccer player, but it helps me relax and soothes my sweet tooth.
I've had the privilege to experience the uncontrollable joy of scoring the game winning goal several times. I help teams win. I've bonded with teammates and school friends and enjoyed the memories we have made together. I've set lofty academic and athletic goals and met them. But, life has not always been pleasant. I have experienced loss and have lost. I know what it’s like to lose someone or something you love. I have felt the agony of coming up short in highly competitive games on a big stage. I've struggled with the questions in my head when I felt I was overlooked, uninvited, or not rewarded with an opportunity I felt I deserved. Each loss has been an opportunity for me to learn, and I've learned a lot. These life lessons and the support of my family are what sets me apart from others.
Thank you for viewing my profile. I invite you to follow me as I figure out my path to greatness.
