Dana Shaw '27 Recruiting Profile

Hi! I’m Dana Shaw, a junior at Hondo High School and captain of our varsity soccer team. My main focus is with my club team in Medina Valley, where we’ve qualified for state the past three years and are striving to reach nationals this season.

Soccer has always been a huge part of my life — not only do I play, but I’ve also been a referee for the past three years and volunteered to coach our high school 7v7 team over the summer. Through all of that, I’ve realized that soccer always brings light to a bad day. It’s where I find happiness, motivation, and confidence.

I’m driven to continue playing at the collegiate level, where I can grow as an athlete, leader, and teammate while challenging myself to reach new goals on and off the field. I’m hardworking, coachable, and team-oriented, and I take pride in balancing academics and athletics.
