I have been playing soccer since I was in third grade, and as soon as I stepped foot on the field I immediately fell in love. I knew soccer was the sport for me and I haven’t changed my mind since that day. Competing at the collegiate level has been a dream of mine for many years and is a top priority for my future.
On the field, my strengths come from my endurance and speed on the ball. I have a strong soccer IQ which allows for quick decision making. I also have impressive strengths in being able to make accurate passes that will set a teammate up for the next play, along with my quick powerful shots. My ability to receive criticism and coachability is very strong. One major way that I stand out is my determination and effort towards my goals. Once I set a goal, I am determined to meet it through hours of practice and perseverance.
I play year-round while perfecting my skills and playing on multiple teams. Currently, I play for my club FDL Elite Solar team along with my 5A high school varsity team. I have played on club teams since seventh grade and high school teams all three years. On a normal week I have practice 1-2 times a day along with extra weight room activities. By participating in multiple opportunities of practice I receive many touches and continuously gain new tips and tricks.
While I am very hardworking on the field, I am just as determined academically. I am currently finishing my junior year, ranking 76 out of 521 students with an average weighted GPA of 4.2 and an unweighted of 3.8. This year, I challenged myself by taking 3 college level classes and I plan to take three more as a senior. I am currently a member of National Honors Society, student council, PALS(Peer Assistance Leadership and Service), HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America), and AVID(Advancement Via Individual Determination) at my high school. Outside of school, I choose to volunteer at HALOS, a special ed t-ball team, along with volunteer work at my church Rhea Mills. These clubs and classes play a major role in my well-rounded academic success.
I strive to be the best teammate I can be for my team by encouraging others and leading by example, on and off the field. I want to attend an academically and athletically challenging university that will push me to be the best version of myself and provide a solid foundation for my future. Currently I am open to all different levels of collegiate soccer and hope to find the best match for me.
