Skylar Shaffer '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Skylar Shaffer but most people call me Sky, especially on the field, I guess because its shorter to say lol. I have been playing soccer since I was 4 years old. I have always loved the game and for as long as I can remember have wanted to play at the highest level possible. Playing for college is the next step in my journey! I am currently in my Sophomore year at Victoria West High School in Victoria Texas and my second year with the Lady Warriors varsity soccer team. I also play with the Houston Dynamo Coastal Bend Express Girls U19 club team out of Corpus Christi. In addition to my club and high school teams, I was also selected as part of the 2020-21 South Texas ODP Girls 2005 training pool. I consider myself to be a very versatile player as I am able to perform well at left or right wing, as well as just about anywhere in the midfield. I am a hard-working, smart and selfless player who is extremely coachable and executes directions very well on the field.
