Samantha Vasquez '19 Recruiting Profile

My name is Samantha Vasquez, I have been playing soccer since I was 5 years old. At first I played recreational soccer until I realized I loved the game too much to not compete at a higher level. Then I began to play with Jazz 01' in the Arlington league to later qualify to Lake Highlands. I am a starting defender on my team and can play anywhere my coach needs me to.  I also play on the Frenship varsity soccer team and was a starter my freshman year.  I am continuing to work hard to keep my spot the rest of my 3 years of high school.

I maintain a 3.7 GPA and I am starting to take dual credit classes to earn college hours. I have not officially decided what to study in college but my options are either studying in the engineering field, or to become a nurse practitioner, or joining the air force academy. I volunteer with my church youth group at events such as the pancake festival, bake sales, and providing food/supplies to organizations. I also do volunteer work with the Frenship soccer team at a local soup kitchen.

I have worked extremely hard for where I am at today and plan to continue working to my full potential. I want to take soccer as far as I can in my life and want to play at the highest level I possibly can.
