Maria Clara Carneiro '23 Recruiting Profile

My name is Maria Clara, I'm from Brazil, but I have been living in the United States since August of 2022. My friends call me Cacá and I actually prefer to be called like that. I love soccer since I was a kid and I have been in touch with many sports through my life. Nowadays, I play basketball and soccer at my high school. I believe that I'm different from the others because I always play with love and have a lot of grit. Even if I'm not the best player in the field, I'm the first one to encourage my teammates and cheer up for them. Also, the academic part is really important for me, so I always try to have the best grades possible. I like to play as a forward because I love to score and give assists, but I also like to play as a winger or an attacking midfielder.
