Personal Statement
What sets me apart from other recruits is that when I set my mind to something, there is nothing that holds me back. I strive to have a positive attitude on and off the field and help build my team mates. I always make sure I am eating right and staying in shape year round for soccer. I am very coachable and take the advice I am given by my coaches so I can apply those changes on the field. I will go wherever a coach puts me in and give 110% on the field. Every day I do at home juggling and footwork for at least 30 mins. Often you can find me in my backyard or at my high school field practicing my touches and skill. I play soccer because I believe I am a better person every time I step off the field. Soccer has taught me how to be disciplined in all aspects of life and demonstrates to me that perseverance, sacrifice and hard work really do pay off. Right now one of my main goals is to play College Soccer. I want to find a fit that is best for me and my athletic and educational aspirations.
I am a very goal oriented individual. Not only in soccer, but in education, relationships, leadership positions, and at work I strive to always be improving. I take time weekly to organize and keep track of the goals that I have set, both long-term and short-term. In school, I have a current 4.0 GPA, in the spring I want to run for Student Body President, I have played piano for 12 years now, I am in two choirs at Timpview High, I challenge myself with AP classes, I participate in musicals in the community and am currently serving in Hope Squad and Link Crew; a suicide prevention group and Freshman unity club, both of which were appointed positions. As I continue my education in college, I would love to study Psychology.
