Pride in my Asian heritage has influenced who I am today. I was born in Hunan, China and I am proud of my Chinese roots. Pride in myself has always made me strive to be the best person I can be. I started playing soccer with an AYSO team while in kindergarten. After the first fall soccer season, I was hooked. Soccer has taught me that I am tougher than I thought. I have played in rain, snow, and hot summer heat. Even after playing in extreme weather, I can’t wait till the next game and get back out on the field.
My academic goals for high school are to keep a high GPA while taking AP and Honor classes. I want to maintain a high academic standard while making sure I take classes that will qualify me to play soccer in college. My goals for college are to obtain my Bachelor’s Degree and then go on to a Master’s Degree.
I love the game of soccer and when I walk off the field I can’t wait to get back on it. I play where I am needed. It is about the team and being the best team member I can be. My love for the game has me up early on the weekends to train with a soccer trainer. My dedication, sacrifice and willingness to put the team first are the skills that make me a standout athlete.
