Hey coach, I am Joy Hanlon but if you are reading this you already know that. As of right now I am a freshman in at Canaan Memorial High School. I have been playing soccer since the 4th grade. Most of that time I have been center fullback and in goal, but I have also played front line and mid field. This year my coach Sheli Aldridge has really played to my strengths used me all over the field wear I am needed.
Before I get into my college dreams I'd like to get into a little background about me. When I was 5 years old my mom and dad got a divorce which sadly is a common occurrence in households these days. My 3 brothers, my sister and I moved down south to Manchester NH. I then moved a total of 11 times between the ages of 6 and 14. I now live with my dad full time while my 5 other siblings live down around my mom's house. Because of all the moving around lack of stability as a child, school was very challenging. But now being at Canaan High School and taking classes specific to my learning ability and my goals I can really focus on the future and my goals.
My future aspiration is to be positive influence in children's lives. From a young age I have always loved kids and I try to be around them as much as I can. Last year whenever I had the chance I would go and read to the younger kids. Now I have a close friend and their mom works at daycare and I go there and read to the children. I would love to be a teacher or even a child psychologist.
Thank you for taking your time to review my page and I hope you see me as a good fit to your athletic program and school. Hope to be hearing from you in the near future. Joy
