Personal Statement
I am someone who has an excellent work ethic, focus and is diligent to accomplish my goals.
Regardless of the challenges in a game, hybird schooling or summiting a Mountain, I welcome the journey and will rise to the occasion.
My latest example of perseverance was last Fall. Our soccer team was ranked 10th in our Division so we had many challenges heading into play-offs. I encouraged the Team to not let our rank define us, play hard and work together. We were rewarded with the D3 State Soccer Championship trophy for our school.
As Coach Post was quoted in The Stowe Reporter, November 19, 2020 issue about my team effort, focus and ability, “She played wherever we needed her,” Post said. “I think she even had a few minutes at forward” “She likes challenging herself and if she knows the other team features a topnotch goal scorer, she wants to take that player on.”
The 2020-2021 academic year took a sharp turn when the Administration announced a few days prior to school starting that they would not offer AP classes. I immediately went on the defense and found a virtual AP Statistics class and we enlisted the help of our AP US History to work with a group once a week so we were ready for the AP tests in the Spring. I didn't allow a decision to affect my academic pursuits even though these classes require many hours of independent study to get through the abundance of material.
In the summer, I like to challenge myself with bike trips that log up to 70 miles a day and peaking new summits. I have hiked 15 of NH 4,000 footers while doing Mount Washington (elevation 6,288') twice.
I believe having the willingness and confidence to “step up to the plate” in academics or athletics will make you succeed more than fail.
