Soccer has been my sport since I was six years old. I'm no stranger to being told that I'm too serious about soccer for my age, which only drives my passion to play college soccer even further. I've played with the Bainbridge Island Football Club for 10 years, and captained for 5 of those years. My high school soccer career got off to a bit of a rocky start, as I had to sit out for both freshman and sophomore year seasons due to health concerns. I was finally able to return back to the pitch my junior year as a starter for the junior varsity team and received several opportunities to play with up our varsity team. Despite it being a long, 2 year battle, I have found my feet again. My physical and mental discipline both on and off the field help me play and perform to the best of my abilities despite the setbacks and challenges I have faced. I thrive as a leader, and am constant pushing myself as well as my teammates to become the best version of ourselves and perform at the highest level. I am a quick learner, allowing me to adjust to new situations both rapidly and effectively. My experience playing with the BIFC 2005 girls team despite being as 06 has helped me develop the ability to adapt to higher levels of play with ease. My confidence has soared since my return to the pitch, and I'm looking forward to watching it grow with the coming seasons.
