Lilya Garzon '19 Recruiting Profile

I became interested in Soccer around the age of 5 years old. I always wanted a ball at my feet since day one. My father played in college so  that really shaped me as a player. He taught me that if you want to be the best you cannot rely on your talent alone, you have to put in the work. I have learned quite a lot about myself through soccer. I never thought of myself as a leader until I stepped on to the field. I realized that if I was going to play defense that I had to learn to speak up and lead my team. My goal is to keep my GPA at a 3.9 or higher thorught high school. I hope to be accepted into a school that is the right fit for me scholastically and athletically.
