Personal Statement

My collegiate goals and aspirations are to play soccer at the next highest level possible for me and to grow as a player and as a person during that process. What makes me a good candidate for your team is that not only am I a good athlete but I am also a great student. My academics always come before my athletics. I also put my team’s needs before my own because soccer is not an individual sport, it is a team sport, and if your team is not clicking you can’t win. What makes me different from other recruits in character is that I have really embraced the captain role for my team this year, and has helped me improve on my skills as a team leader, and helped me help my teams too. If I see they are having a bad game or just need to hear something positive I am always there to help. In athletics I am constantly taking care of my body whether it is through extra sleep, icing my muscles or taking the time to get some extra stretching in. Whatever I can do to prevent injuries and to stay healthy physically and mentally. In academics I have a cumulative GPA of 4.0, and have taken many college courses already and received an A in all of them. As stated before academics always come first.

Events

  • Camp/Event
  • Bushnell Women’s Soccer Recruitment Camp
  • 12/04/21 to 12/04/21
  • Full recruitment day getting to practice and play with the Bushnell women’s team. There was also a meet and great with the players and coach with a tour of the school, admissions meeting, and athletics meeting as well.
  • Camp/Event
  • District Championship
  • 11/04/21 to 11/04/21
  • Clarkston (#2) vs West Valley (#1) for the district title and for a spot at State. Tied 2-2 at the end of two overtime periods and lost 5-6 in a shootout.
  • Camp/Event
  • College of Idaho Women's ID recruiting Camp
  • 9/25/21 to 9/25/21
  • This camp was made up of 2 sessions, both were an hour and a half long. The first session focused on passing, technique, and shooting. The second session focused on soccer IQ and how I play in game situations. The camp also included a tour of the campus and watching the men and women's teams play.
  • Camp/Event
  • West (NorCal) Girls Exact Academic 50 Soccer ID Camp
  • 7/28/21 to 7/30/21
  • This was a 3 day camp filled with about 10 games total that were about 25 minutes each. Besides game play we got to work on our Elevator Pitches with college coaches to work on building our communication and how we present ourselves to the coaches we want to talk to. There were also sessions with college coaches where we went through drills with them. The team we were put on after our evaluation games was also coached by a college coach which was a great learning experience.
  • Camp/Event
  • Clash at the Border
  • 6/25/21 to 6/27/21
  • We got to play two games, one on Friday and one on Saturday, and we won them both, 5-0 and 6-0. We were set two play at least one game on Sunday and if we won that then the championship but the rest of the tournament was canceled due to ref shortage and heat.
  • Camp/Event
  • Girls GSL 2A High School District Championship
  • 4/03/21 to 4/03/21
  • In a Covid shortened season the Lady Bantams made it to the district championship in the final game of the season. Sadly we fell to West Valley 1-2.
