My name is Keira Cantu. I'm a Junior at Mount Vernon High School. From the moment I was five years old, I knew I had found a passion and love for the pitch. Every day, I push myself to be a stronger, better athlete. As an Outside Defender with Northwest United. We've won 2 Back-to-Back state championships. I’ve learned the values of hard work, communication, and collaboration/ teamwork. I bring discipline and motivation. I’m dedicated to making a positive impact on any team I play for. I strive to be a team leader and encourage others around me.
I’m able to play in various places on the field. For my club team, I play left/ right full-back and occasionally left/ right midfield. And for my high school team I play center mid, left/ right midfield, or even striker.
Academically, I'm committed to maintaining good grades. I have a 3.85 GPA. Balancing my athletic goals and academic success has taught me to have a good work ethic.
Aside from soccer, I also play softball for my high school. I’ve been starting on varsity since my freshman year. And each year we’ve made it to districts. My freshman and sophomore year, I got 2nd Team for the NWC and for my junior year, I got 1st Team for the NWC.
