I grew up in Alaska until my family and I moved to Spokane, WA in 2012. Playing in Alaska I learned to adapt and excel in the best soccer I could find, I mostly practiced with the boys in my club. Moving to Washington my junior year of high school has given me the opportunity to apply those lesson as I adapted to a new school and new soccer teams. I was able to land a varsity starting position on my high school team as well as a position on the most elite club team in Spokane. My club team recently qualified to represent Washington State at the 2013 Region IV Tournament in Hawaii. In a way I feel like this last year has given me a lot of confidence about what lies ahead as I start a collegiate soccer career. I am very excited about the new friends and teammates as well as the higher level of competition. Playing soccer with a tight group of teammates has always been a great part of my life, and my dream is to continue experiencing that at the college level. Whichever school I attend, I know that I will have a very positive impact on the team mentally and physically.
