I’ve played soccer since I was three years old, and I’ve loved every second of it. For me, it was a sport that clicked from the beginning; a sport that I could play every day and never lose interest. Today, I still love the sport just the same. Players like Crystal Dunn and Carli Lloyd have inspired me to continue to work hard and play the game I love.
For these reasons, playing college soccer is an obvious goal. College soccer is meant for those in search of a challenge, hard workers, and leaders. I feel that I meet all of these characteristics. I love challenge, I do not take days off, and was captain of my team from my U8 year to my 16 year and nominated by Spokane Sounders Coaches to lead and be my club teams 2021/22/23 Girls Academy Team Representative. Today, I remain a leader for my coach and teammates. In addition, over the past 12 years, I have swum competitively, making regionals cuts for breaststroke and backstroke the last 4 years.
In every match, I try to be a dominant presence on the field. My skill set allows me to play both the attacking and defending midfield positions and feel equally comfortable in either responsibility. The last two seasons I lead my team in goals scored in Washington State, I had a commanding lead in the goal scoring statistic (Golden Boot) for the Regional Club League 1st Division. Not only do I take pride scoring goals to help my teams win, but also taken greatest pride in setting up my teammates for success with a great through ball, one-touch over the top and defensive intensity. I am never one to shy from my own shots when presented. In 2022 & 23 I was selected above peers to attend the Girls Academy NW Conference Region Talent ID Camps, and member of the 2021/22 West Region ODP player pool (Denver, Colorado). In High School, I was the only Freshman to be selected for the Gonzaga Preparatory School Varsity soccer team, and which led into an even more dominate Sophomore year where I lead the Greater Spokane in League in goals and points; finished my sophomore season as League Offensive MVP and second in overall scoring in the State of Washington for the 4A Division (Highest in WA State). I was I look forward to improving upon those numbers and once again helping my team to a league and state championship in the 2023 season.
Academics are a very important part of my life. I attend Gonzaga Preparatory School, a highly regarded school in Eastern Washington and city of Spokane. I work really hard there to maintain a 3.8 GPA; I have aspirations to work in the field of exercise science in college.
Both of my parents are prior military officers and college athletes. My father has been coaching club soccer, on and off for the last 30 years. I certainly credit my leadership abilities and love for my country to my parents. At this time I will certainly consider the military academies and ROTC when selecting college choices. Whatever I choose, I intend to lead the team in GPA and look forward to supporting my teammates in their academic ambitions.
Special thank you to all of the college coaches showing interest in me playing for you in the near future. I look forward to discussing my future ambitions (academically and sport) and answering any questions you may have. Thank you.
