Sofia Alfaro '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello, My name is Sofia Alfaro, class of 2024. I live in Spokane Washington, and attend Lewis & Clark High School. I play Club for Spokane Sounders Soccer Club, and am on the Spokane Sounders G2005 GA team. My jersey number is #9, and I usually play the 10,  the attacking midfielder. As the 10, I am continually focusing on my awareness, reactions, speed, touch and confidence moving the ball forward. My love and energy for the game is evident while I play.

At home, I live with my mom, dad, and sister. They play a huge roll into the person/ soccer player I have become today, and always support me on my journey. My dad has taught me about commitment; he shows me on a daily that becoming a better soccer player involves hard work, dedication, and perseverance, especially when something doesn't go the right way. My mom is my biggest cheerleader. She hasn't missed a game, and is always on the sidelines cheering me on. 

In my free time, I enjoy taking my dog on long walks, exercising, baking, thrifting, and volunteering in my community. I also love watching the English premier league with my sister. Our favorite team is Manchester United.

Everyday I am working to better myself not only as a soccer player, but as a person. Playing soccer at the next level has been a goal of mine ever since I was little. I hope to continue playing soccer in college and play with athletes and coaches that will help make me a better player.
