Tatyana Aills '17 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing soccer for 12 years. I play on a club team called Central Washington Sounders, my team has won the state cup tournament 3 years in a row and went on to play at the US National Cup tournament in colorado in late July, finishing 3rd overall. I am 5'6, 150 pound, center defender for my club team, and a forward for high school. I was the third leading scorer in the Big Nine Conference the last 2015 season. I was also first team all conference my junior year, and my sophomore and freshman year I was second team all conference. I just started my senior season and hope to do even better. I am a 4 year varsity letterman and starter. I am a very determined, self driven person and athlete and I will not stop until I have achieved my goal. Like many other players, I want to play at the next level. I know that I am more than capable and will prove everyday that I deserve to be on the pitch. Outside of soccer, I run track. I am on the 4x1, 4x2, 4x4, and I run the 400. I do track in the spring to keep myself in even better shape and to increase my speed even more. Outside of sports, I am a very outgoing person. I am a youth leader at my church, Together Church, here in Yakima Washington. I love helping and teaching. I plan on majoring in education and going on to be an elementary school teacher. I am not only a high school student, but I am a college student as well. I attend Yakima Valley Community College, where I am working on getting credits to get ahead on my schooling and a jump start on getting my AA. This year when I graduate from High School, I'll be graduating with 84 College credits.  I plan on taking a quarter of college in the summer to complete my AA, so I can move on to the next part of my education. My education is very important to me and I am always a STUDENT before I am an athlete, but I make sure to do what I need to, that way I'm able to be both.
