Sophie Kasel '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Sophie Kasel and I am starting Center Back and captain for the Madison 56ers 06' Girls Red team in the Elite 64 conference.  I have been playing soccer since I was 4 years old.  I love the game and have always enjoyed the competitiveness that comes with it and the lifelong friends I have made, playing it.  I am also the starting Center Back for the Middleton High School girls varsity soccer team. As a Sophomore in 2022 I was named 2nd Team All-Conference as a defender in the WIAA Big 8 Division 1A conference.  I am also the starting Fixo on the Madison Forge National Futsal team.  

I want to continue to play soccer in college because I want to further my level of play, and push myself to be the best player possible.  My focus is on team first and I excel at seeing the entire field, organizing from the back line and playing patient yet aggressive defense.  Academically, I want the best for my future and plan to major in Kinesiology. I know how important education is, which is why I put such an emphasis on my studies.
