My name is Katelyn Fishnick and I am a 2022 outside mid/forward graduate from Prairie Du Sac, WI Sauk Prairie High School. For the majority of my soccer career so far, I've gotten by on talent alone. A few years ago I came to the realization that talent would never be enough if I wanted to achieve my goal of playing collegiate soccer. That summer my father made me a goal and put it in our backyard. I started putting in the work on my own when no one was watching. Later that summer I had my first tournament of the season with my club team. We got first place and I was named player of the tournament with 8 goals in 4 games. Since then my team has depended on me to score goals. But I've learned that every player matters and games can only be won with a team not just one player.
Scoring 45 goals freshman year was definitely a highlight in my career and made my confidence grow tremendously, but it also taught me how to notice the oportunities given to me and really take advantage of them. Soccer is not just a game to me, but it's not my whole world either. I'm looking for a program that benefits me academically as well as athletically. Fitness and nutrition has been part of my daily life for awhile now, and one of my long term goals is to own a gym on a beach so I can teach others how to keep their bodies healthy. I know I have potential and I'm curious to see what I'm capable of. I believe that I have the mindset and talent to compete at the college level, and also the character and work-ethic to make an impact on your team.
