Peyton Baker '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello my name is Peyton Baker, I am a class of 2024 goalkeeper from Sheboygan Wisconsin. I have been playing soccer for most of my life and now am striving to continue that into college. 

When on the field, I have a tendency to talk and direct my team, which is a trait that I have grew to be strong in. So therefore I could bring my leadership qualities to a team, which is very helpful on and off the field. I am also a coachable player, when I meet a new coach that teaches me in new ways, and has different perspectives than what I have grown with, I will take every opportunity to ask questions to learn more.

I have started varsity at Sheboygan North high school since I was a freshmen. I also played travel/ club soccer with Lakeshore United fc since I was around seven years old, and just currently switched to Northshore United to play for there MRL team. I am currently on the Wisconsin ODP team and have been on this team since 2019. Last year I also made it onto the Midwest Regional ODP team, where I competed against the three other regions for the interregional in Florida. One other team I recently was invited to was the Wisconsin International Soccer team, where I got the privilege to play over seas. I also play in indoor league, attend college and position related camps, and train with a goalkeeper coach, to stay active year round.

Academically, I maintained a 4.00 GPA for freshmen and sophomore year. Along with a 5.048 weighted GPA. I create a strong balance between school and soccer by making sure to communicate to coaches and teachers. Outside of soccer, I don’t do any other sports at school but I am on my schools robotics team which weirdly enough is considered a sport at my school. I have a leadership position within this team and have been doing it for two years now.

Athletically I am looking for a school that has coaches that are willing to work one on one with me if I need it. Also a school where the athletic atmosphere is competitive but honest. Academically I am looking for a larger school, so more people in classes. And a school with what I want to study which is business and psychology.
